Complete Running Performance Assessment
A comprehensive assessment combining biomechanics, physiology and movement analysis to identify the factors limiting your running performance, efficiency and injury resilience.
What it is:
A comprehensive running assessment that combines high-speed video gait analysis, movement screening, running metrics and, where appropriate, physiological testing to identify opportunities to improve running economy, performance and reduce injury risk. Rather than simply identifying how you run, this assessment aims to determine why you run that way and provides practical recommendations to improve your performance.
Assessment includes:
High-speed multi-angle video gait analysis (front, rear and side).
Functional movement screening.
Running mechanics assessment.
Running cadence analysis.
Foot strike pattern assessment.
Running power and efficiency metrics (where available).
Shoe comparison assessment (optional).
Integration with lactate testing (optional).
Who it’s for:
Runners and triathletes of all abilities want to improve running economy, reduce injury risk, optimise technique and better understand the biomechanical and physiological factors influencing their performance. Particularly valuable for athletes experiencing recurrent injuries, plateaued performances or preparing for key events.
Typical protocol & duration (90–120 mins):
A combination of movement screening, high-speed video analysis and running assessment performed at a range of speeds. Depending on the athlete's goals, the assessment may also incorporate running power metrics, shoe comparisons and lactate testing to provide a complete picture of running performance.
Metrics & Deliverables:
Comprehensive gait analysis report with annotated images and video feedback.
Identification of key biomechanical strengths and areas for improvement.
Individualised recommendations for running technique, cadence and stride characteristics.
Personalised mobility, strength and running drill program.
Shoe recommendations where appropriate.
Very generalised training recommendations based on assessment findings.
