For those looking for a versatile wetsuit, the Sleeveless Wetsuit combines the essential elements required for speed, flexibility, thermo regulation and durability. This well-rounded wetsuit is suitable for those seeking to improve their race performance as well as those swimming for recreation.
DESCRIPTION:
Neutral, buoyant position with minimal shoulder restriction.
Optimal fit and faster swim to bike transitions compared to a sleeved wetsuit.
DETAILS:
A versatile wetsuit that combines the essential elements required for speed, flexibility and efficiency.
Increased thermo regulation compared to sleeved wetsuits in 20-25 degree water.
Excellent durability so you can race but also train regularly in this wetsuit.
SIZING:
If your measurements align with multiple sizes, or you’re on the upper boundary of a given size, we advise selecting the larger size or ‘sizing up’.
Our wetsuits are designed to offer a tight fit for optimal performance and to reduce water ingress. The material will stretch slightly and provide greater comfort once submerged in water and swum in a few times.
To ensure the best fit, having someone assist you in zipping up the wetsuit can be beneficial. If the neoprene needs to be pulled together at the back before zipping up, it indicates an appropriately snug fit.
A brand-new wetsuit will be marginally tighter the very first time it is tried on. Neoprene will stretch a small percentage after it is first tensioned.
A well-fitted wetsuit may take up to 10 minutes to put on correctly.
Should you have any doubts about your size, especially when shopping online, we welcome you to contact us directly. Our team is on hand to assist you in finding the correct size to suit your needs as a swimmer
Coach Reedy’s Tips: Over the years we’ve conducted blood lactate testing on athletes performing both short and longer time race pace efforts in both sleeved and sleeveless wetsuits. For many athletes we tested, shorter efforts 200-400m sleeveless tested more efficient compared to sleeveless wetsuits. However, the longer the test ie- 600m + the results would swing in favour of sleeveless wetsuits being more efficient for most athletes due to the lack of restriction through the shoulders while still achieving great buoyancy throughout the rest of the suit. The results were magnified in water temperatures between 21-24 degrees because the sleeveless suits also assist in not over-heating.
