A rather simple but time consuming process can make your chain significantly faster than how it comes brand new.
We use an ultra sonic cleaner to soak the chain and slowly vibrate the chain completely free of the factory lubricant.
We then heat Silca Secret Chain Wax Blend with nano-scale tungsten disulphide to the perfect temperature before fully immersing the chain moving the chain around to ensure every link is receives adequate wax. The chain is then coated in ultra fine PTFE/Teflon powder before being hung to dry.
After the chain has been ‘ridden’ in (20-30kms of riding) the chain will provide between 6-8 watts advantage due to less chain friction.
Cost saving tip- Race day chains are more efficient for approximately 400kms so post race, take the chain back off, drip some top up wax lubricant on it and save if it for the next race day.
