Over the years both Steve Mckenna the founder of the NERD and the RPG coaches consistently received feedback of numb feet over long rides and when racing on the run due to feet expanding in size and blood blow being restricted, especially with elastic laces.
So we opted for a high quality thin sock, that doesn’t get too heavy when wet to allow no sock bunching in transitions in T2 and more room through the forefoot during running and cycling training to avoid numb or painful feet.
